Job Description:
A dynamic and talented person who can bring depth of operational leadership, technical expertise in workers’ compensation and people management. Must be comfortable not only driving strategy but also delivering on operational objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage staffing, client allocations and delivery process for the national workers’ compensation domain
- Meet the claims management, quality, and general management objectives and expectations
- Maintain and report out on staffing levels and caseloads
- Support and deliver scheduled trending, performance reports, and analytics on client program performance as a part of account governance with the objective of continually enhancing program delivery
- Support the growth of the business through client retention, new sales, and upsell activities
- Demonstrate a high level of engagement and collaboration with various leadership teams and ReedGroup Canada team members that supports healthy integration, inspires a shared vision, and models the way of a high-performance culture
- Manage escalations and work with internal stakeholder groups as required
- Recruitment of staff and vendor management
- Participate as a member of the Canadian Leadership Team and contribute to business strategy, service enhancements and collaborate with other domains such as account management, disability outsourcing, sales, legal, and others, as required
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in workers’ compensation claims management
- 3 to 5 years of demonstrated operational leadership experience managing teams
- Proven understanding of workers’ compensation best practices and effective delivery models
- Experience with recruitment of resources and vendor management
- In depth knowledge of relevant legislation related to workers’ compensation and Human Rights Code
